Wednesday August 6th

Block Island Behemoth Capt Ant reports: Well we’ve used epic fishing, we’ve used Bassacre, we’ve used bloodbath, but last night was simply the best bass fishing trip ever experienced by everyone in the boat.  And there were guys fishing for bass for 50 years. We were 2 fish away from our limit after 6 drifts. 90% were over 30lbs. We had 5 over 40 including pool winner for the second time in a week Jack Miov from port Washington with a 47.8lber. Jackie G from port jeff had a 46.2lber. Pictures attached, vids on Facebook, tired anglers slept with smiles, Capt and crew couldn’t be more thankful for natures gift this season. Tuesday August 5th

Half Day Fluke Pm Captain Anthony D reports a good afternoon bite we had non stop action for the first half of the afternoon with a fair number of keeper fluke sea bass and scup.Things slowed a bit as we lost the tide  but we still managed to put a few more  nice size fish over the rails.The pool winner Richard Marino from Islip Terrace, NY with a 8lber Second Place Chris Link from Bronx, NY with a 5.7lb Montauk Local Porgies and Jumbo Sea Bass Captain Dave reports that fishing started a bit slower today.But as the day went on fishing had improved we even manage some nice keeper fluke in the mix. Monday August 4th

Half Day Fluke Pm The Pool Winner Anne Sagri from Fair Haven, VT with a 7.9  Montauk Local Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports great fishing today on the porgy grounds. We had nice porgies and sea bass up to 5lbs. Today’s first place pool winner was Shirley Danne of Queens Villiage with a 3.5lb porgy and in second place was Grady Seaulright of Yonkers with a nice 6lb fluke. Capt. Ant reports another amazing week of nailing both trophy bass and plenty of them.  13 Behemoths were landed last week over 40lbs and countless others in the 30’s.  It’s just insane fishing right now and while the weather has kept the waters cool it seems the large body of bass have hunkered down in Montauk waters for the summer.  What would be even more insane is not taking…

Sunset Striper Slam Half Day AM Fluke Captain Stephen Francis reports a slow start to the morning, but once we had the tide we got in 4 good drifts. Even with the not so great conditions, everyone went home with some meat. Today’s first place pool winner was Christian Gacdobe of St. James, NY with a 4.45lb fluke. Saturday August 2nd

Night Striped Bass Jig & Eel Combo Captain Ant reports a very solid Bass trip at 6p Saturday.  The conditions were, well sort of evil on the ride.  NE wind an east swell made it uncomfortable for the fisherman, but not the rock slobs.  We had a steady pick while we had tide and landed two Behemoth Bass.  Kevvin Show too the pool with a monster at 47.6lbs and Jim Sincebaugh took second with a 40.2lber.  We had over 10 fish in the 33-38lb range as well.  Mikey Nelson limited to 35. Friday August 1

Block Island Behemoth Capt. Ant reports our hunt for the Beasts for the East was Bassacret!!!!  Barring the first few drifts we absolutely crushed them with 5-8 Behemoths getting stuck with the gaffs on every drift.  85% of the fish were over 30lbs including a pair from Hanging Chad that weight 30 and 36lbs, No disrespect to Chad, but that was nothing.  We had 5 fish over 40lbs this trip.  Eddie Kartar took the pool with a 43.6 and also had a 33 and 25 (orl).  Guiseppe Lombardi had a 42.1 and a 37, Lawrence Wong had 42.0, Michael Nelson had a 41.8, a 37 and 29lber, and Nancy Belermo had a 40 even.  Flat out sick.  Gary “Bigfish”Young also had 3 to 36lbs as did Dr. Jay Zieglerto 36lbs…..Outstanding work by the best bass crew in the universe…Eric, Justin,…

Thursday July 31st

Night Striped Bass Jig & Eel Capt Ant reports a half n half bass trip last night. Half awful, half insane. We started jigging at the end of the ebb and it was slow. Few blues, few scup but not much action. Sat thru the slack and finally had some flood, nada. We made a move and it paid off for those who took our advice. We had an hour of chaos that landed beautiful moo cow linesiders. Nicole Cook had her limit, chris Luke and Sam each had mid 30lbers. Gary Bigfish Young also had one in the 30s. But the King of the night was 11 year old RJ DelPercio. First the young bassmaster landed a 26lber. He said it was just to heat up the gears in his reel to prepare for what came next. A five…

Night Striped Bass Block Island Behemoth Capt Ant reports our Special Behemoth trip was just that, if you consider whacking huge moo cow linesiders for 3 solid hours special. After a slow couple of drifts the tide picked up and we began to slay the beasts. Averaged 7 jumbos a drift for 4 drifts in a row. George Jehn had 5 fish to 40lbs orl. Chris Luke had 3 to 39.4lbs, Steve bassman Bento nailed 3 to 36lbs. Average size was 30lbs and many had their limit. But the Behemoth of the trip goes to Mike Dove from NY NY with a 47.6lb bass and in second place to Jack Miov of East Port NY 40.2lb bass. Half Day Fluke PM Captain Anthony D reports an excellent afternoon of fluke fishing. We had non stop action with a good number of fat kee[per fluke, sea bass and porgies, as well as a nice striped bass. Today’s first place pool winner was Katelyn Anderson of East Hampton with a 5.7lb fluke, and in second place was Mary Beth Staropoli of Larchmont, NY with a 25lb striped bass. Monday July 28

Sunset Striper Slam Capt. Ant reports a bluefish bloodfest at the lighthouse tonight.  Birds everywhere and blues from albs to 15lbs munching heartily on jigs.  Under tough conditions we put a hurting on them as well as about a bushel of scup for the boat.  James Perry from Riverhead took the pool with a 12lb Striper and Luke Cocaran came in 2nd with a 15lb blue.  Beautiful Sunset, Big Blues and a happy arm weary crew went home with bags o meat.
