Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave Reports an EXCELLENT Day of fishing on the porgy and sea bass ground. We had double headers coming over the rails sea bass between 2-5lbs a nice mix off porgies up to 3.5lb we also had about 40 blue fish in the mix. The pool winner Mr Dimitrios Kapetanakis from NJ with a 3.5lber  

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a better day today despite the rough weather. There was a better mix of porgies and sea bass up to 5lbs. This is the best sea bassing we have seen in a long time! We didn’t have any cod today, but there were some cocktail blues in the mix. Today’s pool winner was Steve Schwarts of the Bronx with a 3lb porgy.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing today. Despite the cold weather, the sea bass bite was on! Everyone had their limit of sea bass today. We had to go looking for the porgies today, the bite was a little slow. We also had about 8 keeper cod up to about 15lbs. Today’s pool winner was Virginie Salpetrier of the Bronx with a 3.5lb porgy.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a tough day of fishing today. It was very cold and windy with some snow this morning, not to mention the dogs were out bothering us today. The porgies bit okay, but we had quite a few nice sea bass. We also had some cod in the mix. Today’s pool winner was Joe Lee Sang of Brooklyn with a 3.75 lb porgy.

We had a very windy start this morning, so with the rough seas and some dogfish that were around, it was a tough day. But we did managed a nice catch of porgies, sea bass, cod and some blues. Today’s pool winner was Konstantnos Kynalis of Powells Cove, NY with a big 4lb porgy.

It was a very rough day today with higher seas than expected which made fishing a little bit slower than it has been, but we still managed to put a decent catch together. We had porgies, sea bass, about a half dozen cod and some blues in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Edgar Clavel of Little Neck NY with a 3.5lb porgy and in second place was Correa Raloudo of Manhattan with an 8lb bluefish.

We also had a few cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Zoran Milosevic of Middle Villiage with a 3.5lb porgy, and in second place was Shirley Danne of Queens with a 12lb cod. We tucked down the south side and had some blues but the water was murky brown. Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a pretty good day despite the rough weather. We had a good catch of decent size of porgies and sea bass, along with about a half dozen cod and some blues in the mix. Steven Bento was today’s pool winner with his nice 4lb porgy.

Block Island Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing today. We had more porgies today than sea bass, both on a bit of the smaller side than what we have been getting. We also had some blues and about 4 keeper cod in the mix. Today’s first place winner was Ronald Burris of Irvington, NJ with a 3.5lb porgy, and in second place was Melvin Casasola of Freeport with an 11lb cod. Also shout out goes to Fred Alexander who was “in da house!”.
