Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports another good day of porgy fishing today. It was the similar to yesterday, good first thing in the morning and then slowed a bit when the tide came on. But right at the end of the day the tide slowed and the fish were on! Everyone went home with a nice mess of fish. Today’s pool winner was Tom Hughes of Lindenhurst with a nice 3.5lb porgy.

Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Captain Dave reports another slow day for porgy fishing aboard the Viking Star. The water was still pretty dirty, so we only manged a handful of porgies. We had plenty of blues too. The weather is supposed to be getting nicer throughout the week, so the fishing should get better too. Montauk Spring Jumbo Porgies Capt Dave reports really good fishing today aboard the Viking Star. We had a really big body of fish today. They were on the smaller side, but there were some jumbo sized mixed in. It was a good steady pick all morning. We also had some bluefish and a keeper striped bass. The pool winner was Jack Dortch from Rego Park, NY with a 3lb Porgy.

38 Hour Tile Express – May 11 to May 13 Capt Steven Sr reports that the trip started out very good with Tile, Hake, Pollock and a few dogfish mixed in. The sky turned grayer and more and more dogs showed up. By noon the DOGS took over! Everywhere. Fortunately the first few hours produced very good fishing with a lot of action. Quality Tile, Hake and double header pollock came over the rail. Pool winners and photos to follow!
