Block Island Behemoth Striped Bass Captain Carl reports an excellent night of bass fishing. We had to wait a little while for the tide to get going, but once it did it was game on! The bass weren’t quite the behemoth size we have been accustomed to catching, but they were still a nice size bass. They were all between 20-30lb class and plenty of them! We ended up catching our full boat limit! The first place pool winner was Joseph Stratmann of Sayville with a 30.55lb striped bass. Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports excellent fishing aboard the Viking Starship. There were a lot of porgies and sea bass caught today. The first place pool winner was Harold Bussey from Brooklyn, NY with a 2.2lb porgy. The second place pool winner was Lamont White from Los Angeles, CA by way of Philly with a 4.8lb sea bass. Montauk Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports Excellent porgy fishing today. We did not have to go far to enjoy the scup. Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports a slow night bass fishing. We had a lot of blues, but just 1 keeper bass and a few shorts. At least we had action with the fin fighting blues! We found some nice fluke to pick away at all day, some drifts were better than others, but a few folks had their fluke limits. Everyone had a bunch of sea bass as always. It was a good day. Full Day Jumbo Fluke and Sea Bass Captain Carl reports a good day on the full day boat. We had tons of sea bass to fill the buckets. Fluking was a struggle until the end of the day when we found some nice keepers to work on. All in all a great day! The pool winner Mr Jaehyun Hwang with a 5.3lb fluke.
