Block Island Jumbo Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports another good day of fishing despite today’s rough weather. We had a nice catch of mixed size porgies and sea bass up to 6lbs. We also had a few cod in the mix. Today’s first place pool winner was Zoran Milosevic of Middle Villiage with a 3.5lb porgy, and in second place was Shirley Danne of Queens with a 12lb cod.

Full Day Striped Bass
Captain Anthony Reports tough conditions for jigging as the forecast of SW 5-15 knots was actually a NNW 20-25 knots. We tucked down the south side and had some blues but the water was murky brown. We had wind against tide at the light, which made it a bit uncomfortable, but Joe Mercurio from NYC took the pool with a 14lb bass. We will be sailing again tomorrow at 7AM.
