Sat July 11 – 1/2 Day Fishing PM
Captain JR reports a decent pick of fish this afternoon on the Viking Star. The action was much as it has been with porgies, sea bass, and fluke keeping us busy. A beautiful afternoon with everyone capturing some fish for dinner. There was no pool.
Sat July 11 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies and Knothead Seabass
Capt. Dave reports excellent, excellent Porgy fishing all morning! We had a mix of Jumbos, medium size fish, and a couple shorts that had to be thrown back. We caught mostly Porgies today with a handful of Seabass mixed in. The first pool winner was Noel Fish from the Bronx, NY, with a 2.9lb Porgy….
Sat July 11 – 1/2 Day Fishing AM
Captain JR reports an ok pick onboard the Viking Star this morning. Things were a bit slow during slack tide, but improved a lot when the current started running. An assortment of porgies, sea bass, and a few fluke came up with everyone getting some fish for dinner.
