Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports an action packed night on the Viking Star. We started off catching nice striped bass and a few bluefish in the mix. But at the night progressed, we caught more blues and less bass. The blues really took over providing some fun fights for some first time anglers. We did still have a few bass here and there throughout the night. All in all we had a fun night! Tonight’s first place pool winner was Kyle Blazo of Hicksville with a 28.6lb striped bass. . Block Island Behemoth Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports a slow but steady night of fishing at Block Island. Every fish we had, besides one, was a real Behemoth Moo Cow! George Jehn nailed a 40 pounder, and his nephew Richy landed his biggest bass ever at 38lbs! We also had another 42.4 pounder and Kelvin Sakhichand of Queens, NY took the pool with a 49 pound Behemoth Bass! Half Day Fluke PM Captain Dave G reports a good afternoon of half day fishing. Half Day Fluke PM Captain Stephen D reports a great afternoon a little slow to begin with because there was no tide. Once we had the tide fishing was good. The pool winner Christine Dassler with a 5lbs Fluke. Half Day Fluke AM Captain Stephen D reports amazing morning non stop action the whole time. Everybody had full buckets of Fluke Sea Bass and Scup. Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports a slower day due to the windy conditions. There were mainly porgies today with a mix of some sea bass. The pool winner was Juan Vinasco with a 3lb porgy. Half Day AM Captain Stephen D reports an extremely windy morning with harsh conditions. They stayed close, but still managed to put a catch together. Half Day PM Captain Stephen D reports much nicer conditions in the afternoon, but there was still a good amount of wind and chop. There was a good tide and drift resulting in a great catch of fluke and sea bass. The pool winner was Bill Mallek from Commack, NY with a 5.1lb fluke.

Montauk Jumbo Summer Porgies and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports an excellent day on the water. There were plenty of porgies and sea bass caught, along with a few nice size fluke in the mix. The first place pool went to Jamall Williams from Canarsie, Brooklyn with a 3.5lb porgy. The second place pool went to 12 year old Aidan Stewart from Redding, Ct with a 5.75 fluke. Block Island Behemoth Striped Bass Captain Carl reports a decent night of fishing on the Block Island Behemoth trip despite the unfavorable conditions. Our first drift, we decked 2 big moo cow bass. One was over 40lbs and the other was over 50lbs! We grabbed a few more big moo cows until the tide crapped out and then we had a lull in the action for a while. The tide changed again when we decked a couple more big striped bass! Most of the bass we had were over 30lbs. Daryn Moller of Stony Brook took the pool with his trophy 50lb 2oz behemoth bass. . Block Island Behemoth Night Striped Bass Captain Carl reports a solid night on the Viking Starship. Block Island Behemoth lived up to the hype again, as we had all quality bass onboard. It started off slow, but as the tide picked up, so did the fishing and we were just a few shy of a boat limit. Chris Luke from Southampton took the pool with a 47lb 5oz behemoth! Montauk Jumbo Fluke and Sea Bass Captain Dave reports excellent fishing first thing this morning aboard the Viking Starship. We started off catching lots of JUMBO porgies, which gave us an opportunity to go looking for some sea bass. We did find some sea bass, a little bit more on the smaller side, but we managed to get some over the rails. We also had a few blues in the mix, but it was mostly JUMBO porgies and sea bass today. Full Day Fluke Tuesday August 4th is cancelled due to Weather conditions.
