Mon Sept 11 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a tough day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. We moved all around to a lot of our local spots with very little luck. The fish we had coming up were all on the smaller side, but we did manage a few large Scup. There were actually a handful of medium…

Sun Sept 10 – Full Day Block Island Fluke & Sea Bass

Capt Steven Sr. reports an excellent day of fishing on the Viking Starlite. We had a slow start to the morning, waiting for the tide to start running and once it did we had non-stop action from start to stop with rods bent all around the boat. Everyone on the boat finished up with their…

Attention Viking Anglers:

Due to high demand and steady Fluke fishing so far, Captain Steven Sr. has decided to add another Full Day Block Island Fluke and SeaBass trip this upcoming Wednesday, September 13th on the Viking Starlite. Capt Dave reports a slower day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. The bite has still been a bit off, with a lot more smaller fish circulating, however, we still managed a decent pick in some of our local spots. Everyone still managed a decent pile of porgies, between medium and large sized, with…

Capt Dave G reports a very good morning of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had some great late season Fluke action with keepers all around the boat on every drift. We also had some nice size Porgies and a few Sea Bass in the mix. Everyone onboard went home with a nice bag of…

Fri Sept 8 – Montauk Lighthouse Jumbo Porgies & Sea Bass

Capt Dave reports a better day of fishing today on the Viking Starship. Although we did see an improvement today from yesterdays trip, fishing was still tough. We did see quiet a bit of action on board, but it was a lot of small fish and throwbacks, but did have some really nice in the…

Wed Sept 6– Whale Watching

Oh, what a trip! 3 species of cetaceans! We didn’t need patience on this trip, we found whales almost right away. We left the heat and headed out to sea. A short while after passing Montauk Light, we encountered our first of 15 whales. The 50 of us on board were treated to views of…

Mon Sept 4 to Thurs Sept 7 – 3 Day TNT Ultra LTD

Capt J.R. reports a very productive 3 day trip on the Viking Star. We trolled up some nice yellowfin tuna on our way to the tile grounds which kept our ride out busy. The tile action was excellent from start to finish on day one with everyone boating meaty Viking tiles. The best action we…
