Sunset Striped Bass Trip
Capt Ant reports a bloodbath with blues last night.  It was awesome!!  We had a bunch of families with many young girls beating up on the choppers and loving every minute of it.  Hopefully the new shoes for school weren’t worn last night!!  After boating about 100 of the yellow eyed beauties, we were off to bass fish with eels.  As it seems like its been lately, we got one immediately, a healthy 20lber and then the bottom dropped out with the tide for the remainder of the evening.  We got in a couple of drifts at the start of the flood but never really got to feeding speed.  All in all rod bending action and an absolutely gorgeous Sunset!! Adam Taylor from North Bellmore took the pool with a 17lb striper. Gabriella Cohn from Setauket took second place with a 12lb bluefish. Check out our schedule for September HERE with all new trips for 2013!

Midnight Moo Cow Madness
Captain Anthony reports the Midnight Moo Cow Madness trip was FANTASTIC! We made a local stop, picked up a quick pair and headed east knowing we’d have to sit through the slack. Blues were abundant to 18lbs, so at least we had action for an hour and a half. Once we started moving it was game on. Not a crush, but consistant 1-2 bass a drift until the we saw the most amazing sunrise over Block and then it was time to go. We had multiple crew with limits including Frank “The Crank” Graci and Ronnie Armet. One fisherman had 4 (orl). most fish were in the 15-25lb range. Sal Albano took with pool with a 28.4 pounder.

Montauk Full Day Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports an overall good day on the Viking Star today. We had mostly porgies with some sea bass and a couple keeper fluke. Today’s 1st place pool winner was Sandy Emanuel from Manhattan with a 4lb porgy.

Half Day Fluke AM
Captain Anthony reports an excellent trip aboard the half day boat. We averaged a keeper fluke per customer as well as a keeper sea bass. We also had a handful of scup and many double header fluke as well. The pool winner was Michelle Cary from NYC NY.
