2 Day Deep Water Extended Both Days Ultra Limited
Captain Steven Sr reports an okay offshore trip this past week. On day 1, Mother Nature did her part by giving us an unpleasant start with steady 20+ mph winds all day, which made it very difficult to tend the bottom. With the big ground swell from the east-wind, we had some tough conditions, but we did manage to make a decent day with some tiles, hake, pollack, a few norther groupers and barrel fish. On day 2, we had the opposite- it was flat and calm, making for good conditions and a much better bite. We had tile fish up to 43lbs, 9 fish over 25lbs, a nice bunch of 8-15lb healthy tiles- overall lots of quality fish! By the end of the trip, everyone was happy with their catch! Day 1 yielded 12-15 fish and at the end of day 2 they had a total of 25-28 fish in their coolers. Thank you to all the anglers aboard the Viking Starship from Captain Steven Sr, Dave, Dylan and Steve!

Viking FiveStar TNT Split Charter
Captain Steven Jr reports the FiveStar returned early this morning with a nice catch from the deep! We fished Monday in less than ideal conditions, but we still managed a good pile of tiles for the day; we also picked up 6 albacore on the troll. At night, most of the guys got some rest, while a couple put put some sword bait, but all was quiet for the night with one mystery bite. The next day, we had much better weather and another decent day of bottom fishing, with some better sized tiles, the largest being 33lbs. We also picked up a nice yellow fin on the troll. At the end of the day, the weather was just too nice to leave, so we put in a couple extra hours trolling at sundown and were able to pick up a couple more nice yellow fins. Overall we had a good trip with a great group of guys, sending everyone home with lots of meat! Thank you to all on board for making it a fun and successful trip!

Half Day Fluke PM
Captain Joe reports another amazing trip for fluke fishing to end the day! There was steady action all afternoon with lots of big keepers, some sea bass and 1 porgy. Today’s pool winner was Michael Baglino of Coram with a BIG 8lb fluke, and in second place was Mark Slouensly of Garden City with a nice 6.5lb fluke.

Half Day Fluke AM
Captain Joe reports another great morning of fluke fishing! We had great action throughout the entire trip. We had a mess of keepers today in the perfect conditions! Today’s first place pool winner was Stephanie Kaminski of Plainview with a 6.4lb fluke, and in second place was 9 year old Keara Champagne of Redding CT with a 5.1lb fluke.

Full Day Montauk Porgies and Sea Bass
Captain Dave reports a good day of fishing aboard the Viking Star. We had lots of action with the porgies and a decent amount of nice sea bass, along with some fluke the biggest being 9lbs! Today’s pool winner was Ronald “Spoony” Burrus of Irvington NJ with a 3.3lb porgy.
